THE LIFE AND STYLE OF OUR CITY, THROUGH THE LENS
People and portraiture, intimate events and vast festivals, eye-catching products and appetising food, interiors and exteriors, and the simple unassuming beauty of the oft-overlooked nooks and details which tell Portsmouth's historic story. We've shot the lot.
PEOPLE AND PORTRAITURE
What sets SWEAT Southsea aside from other gyms is its people: the personal trainers. SWEAT asked us to capture a series of friendly, welcoming, approachable headshots for us on their website, social media, and in posters on the walls of the gym. We used studio lighting and post-processing to achieve professional results which suit the desired look and mood the client wants.
Outside of the studio, we've focused on fashion, working with designer clothing outlet stores in Gunwharf Quays to showcase some of the outfits on offer at the shopping centre. Our model was the lovely Tanahya. Here's a selection of the photos:
We also often use photography to create a behind-the-scenes look at the work we're producing. Sometimes, this is in the form of a polished set of pictures, as was the case with the album we created while shooting a short film for International College Portsmouth. Other times, this is through our smartphones, instantly sharing stories about our clients across social media to a regional audiences of tens of thousands of interested, engaged people.
Every year, Portsmouth City Council and local events firm Love Southsea run Southsea Food Festival. We documented the mouthwatering event with a selection of photos which were ripe for promotional use:
